MCCLELLANDTOWN – Rep. Charity Grimm Krupa (R-Fayette) presented a Pennsylvania House of Representatives Citation to Rodney Gallagher III. It recognizes his outstanding accomplishment of surpassing 2,000 career points for the Laurel Highlands High School Boys’ Basketball Team.
“Several high school basketball teams across the country rightly hold ceremonies to honor athletes who score a thousand career points,” Grimm Krupa said, “but to double that milestone is truly a tremendous feat. Averaging more than 500 points per season shows more than just raw athletic ability. It’s proof of an insatiable work ethic, tenacious training and attention to detail. These skills will serve Rodney well not only on the court, but also in any future academic or professional endeavors.”
In addition to surpassing 2,000 career points, Gallagher was also a first-team all-state basketball selection for the fourth time. He has committed to playing Division I football at West Virginia University.
