MCCLELLANDTOWN – Rep. Charity Grimm Krupa (R-Fayette) announced Fayette County Career and Technical Institute has been awarded $84,122 as part of a program to purchase new equipment to help train students in high-demand occupations through career and technical education programs.

“Virtually every industry in our Commonwealth is facing a labor shortage,” Grimm Krupa said. “The programs and training Fayette County Career and Technical Institute runs can help fix this chronic problem we’re facing, and this money will make those programs even better.”

There are more than 80 CTCs in Pennsylvania that offer a combination of classes and hands-on learning in programs approved by the Department of Education. Thousands of students earn industry credentials or certifications for local jobs in high demand, so they graduate on a path for success.
