MCCLELLANDTOWN – Rep. Charity Grimm Krupa (R-Fayette) announced $3.25 million in state funding has been awarded for improvement projects in the 51st Legislative District. The funding is being awarded through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP). 

The following organizations have been awarded RACP grants:
Boy Scouts of America Laurel Highlands Council – $500,000 to upgrade the shower facilities and main sewer line of the Heritage Reservation.
Living Stones Inc. – $650,000 to repair and renovate the historic Gallatin School Living Center.
Redevelopment Authority of the County of Fayette – $1 million for construction projects at the Thompson’s Crossing Business Park.
RMZ Holdings Inc. – $350,000 to improve accessibility, seating and sound equipment at the Timber Rock Amphitheater.
West Virginia University Medicine Union Hospital – $750,000 to construct a labor and delivery unit.

“Whether these grants are going to a health system, a business or the Boy Scouts, they’re all going to make a difference in the lives of folks here in Fayette County,” Grimm Krupa said.

The RACP is a Commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the design, acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.
